1. summer is fun. summer is exhausting.
2. a hawk was eating a woodpecker in our tree saturday. the kids happened to be outside when all these feathers started floating down. so we went out. we watched for a while. and i took a picture. or a few. it was educational.
the first pic is the woodpeckers mate? who jumped around and chirped insistently the whole time.
3. cousins came to visit. we had bbq. they played all over the house. so grateful for my family.

4. f saying many, many words. today, lunch 'l-ch', pooh bear 'pih bih', among others.
5. they have been making many plans. monday, bubble painting and beads. today, karate and games outside, legos and dollies inside. tomorrow, planning cornstarch goop. they'll be outside again.
