i'm not ready for it - but we've already had multiple hundred-degree days so it is here whether i want it or not. the swimsuits are constantly drying on the side of the tub.
there are gritty footprints on the floor, watering every day, fans blowing. we are hot in the middle of the night and cold by morning.
there were peaches at the farmers market saturday. we've switched to shorts and tees and wear our saltwater sandals daily.
i love to make our summer plans - we pick theme weeks and plan activities.
we have library day, field trip day, cooking day and art day. i love it. but this year we are going to wait a few weeks.
we don't have an end-of-school deadline, so i'm looking forward to finishing off some projects and then relaxing with books, smoothies and sprinklers. i'll need a good two weeks of that. then we'll all be excited to grab the summer and have a good time.
