now for the other changes around my house..
i have been called to be the primary president in my ward. now i must really be a grown-up. i had a sinking feeling as i left sacrament meeting and realized i would never be able to invisibly go where i wanted at church anymore (though how invisible a family with 5 little children can be i don't know). truly, i love the children in my ward and know them, and i've been in primary for the past 9 years in one capacity or another. it's a big responsibility (that has kept me awake at 2 am some nights) but i feel that it is something that i can do well in. i know i have the support of the litigator, my bishop and my Heavenly Father.
so i will be able to succeed.

i also turned 35 yesterday. i thought for sure i would be different by now. but i feel the same inside as when i turned 25. mostly. but yesterday when we were getting ready for church s said, 'how do you know where to put your earrings without looking in the mirror?' and i answered, 'well, i've been putting them in for the past 19 years...' wow, that makes me feel older. or today, 'how long have you and dad been married?' 'in september it will be 16 years...' it seems incompatible that someone who's been married THAT long would still have a hard time deciding what to make for dinner. or want to yell when the laundry that was supposed to be put away is in a pile on the floor. i was supposed to have outgrown these little issues. i'm beginning to think i will always feel like a kid sneaking around in a grown-up's body.
