i volunteered to take some 'back to school' portraits at the park today with our friends. it was overcast, which helped.
i didn't get the photos i wanted, but i love what i did get.
the ONLY photo without his 2 gappy front teeth all bucky-d out on purpose
easy to photograph. so expressive and a little pert.
she was willing to jump around a bit for me. i love how these turned out. i wish i had photos of me doing SOMETHING like this as a 14 year old. i jumped! i played piano!
i love the toe on this one
she looks like she's going to fly
she does fly. my favorite. look at that face
also tricky. this mirrors a photo i have of her as a 1 year old. remember mom?
she jumped for me too with shoes
and without
talk about face! what's this?
oh right, he's a ninja
yeah, he didn't really want his picture taken. this is all i got, and one monstrously ugly one.
and this is what babies do when mommy is busy taking pictures of other children.
but he gets visitors (why didn't A give me THAT face?)
what? they're watching me?
i'm getting out of here
i love taking photographs and trying to catch personalities. it's not unusual to feel i've failed dismally. the few highlights can't make up for the aggravation of knowing the shots i could have gotten and didn't. i think i'm getting more slapdash in my age and just get lucky sometimes.
