really love this room

i love the dark walls. the natural wood beautifully shaped bed. we could totally build this bed! the owl pillow! the star lights, the whole mood. i love the variety of textures available for exploring. i don't know if it would work for a 3 year old to live in  - maybe if i had some giant south facing windows.

some days when i'm tired i like to peek around at the many amazing design blogs to find some inspiration. there's always something new and creative to admire.

this is the most awesome staircase i have ever seen. strictly a dream item but if money were no object i'd have one. (see, its a slide!)

very inspired by this boy's room. trying to figure out where we're going to put another little person's bed! i have a giant shelf from craigslist that i've been itching to paint for so long now but just couldn't decide the color. i think this gray-blue-black might be it.

i really love the simplicity here and the blue of the door. i'd like to do that too. don't know if the litigator would go for it...plus, my doors are not pretty like this! this is my favorite color.

things i love about this room:

1. chandelier. cool, sparkly, not girly, kind of art deco

2. is this an octagonal room? i'm adding one to my dream house list

3. big windows

4. i really like the combination of black table and white retro-industrial chairs. though they do look like they'd be hard to slide around late at night when i'm reading a book and trying to sit down again after i got up to get more milk to go with my cereal.

5. and the built in bookshelf with the surprise color. 

6. curved doorways are so appealing in contrast with the sharp angles of walls and windows
