i learned this song when i was about 15. i don't think i've played it for at least 10 years. i didn't even remember it. i sat down to play the piano (as i've been trying to do more often lately) and this just flowed out of my fingers, all the way to :59. then i got stuck. i had to call my mom to see which song it was and where to find it. she found it in about 30 seconds. i'm not exaggerating. i don't have the music so even though i now KNOW what it is that was lingering latent in my brain i can't re-learn the end yet. but it was rewarding to know that all those years of piano actually did something.
and then i googled it. and saw a bunch of 5 year olds playing it. maybe it's not so impressive now, but i'll just hold on to that accomplished feeling.
