the old dryer died last week. the drum actually started to come through the front. sat found us shopping for a new one. they are so expensive! this is the first time in our lives we've had to buy one - people always used to donate to us! another sign we are grown ups. we went to r.c. willey all set to buy the cheapest/best rated dryer for $500 (ouch) and found one in the scratch n dent for less but much much nicer. nicer than i wanted (it's such a responsibility to have fancy stuff). now it is squeezed into my laundry room, sounding like a sports car humming.

instead of beeping when the load is done, there are gentle chimes. there is a lock control so my little one can't open it or change the drying time. but i didn't see a setting for 'oops forgot to empty sons pocket/rock roll/lego retain' mode.
